  • Learn to play music by ear. This is for people that can already play an instrument but have trouble playing with other people, learning tunes from recordings, improvising freely on there instrument or are just in a rut and find you are not advancing quick enough . this is a study of Music Theory,Ear Training, and Improvisation and how it relates to your instrument. If you are a person who is struggling with reading music or improvising. this is something I enjoy teaching because it is not as difficult as many people think. There is list things you have to learn and understand to read or improvise .but each one of those things in its self is not that difficult to learn and understand. You just need to have the list and work on it.I'm still working on my list because it never ends .you just keep on building on it. I basically teach how theory is related to ear training & vice a versa and how to take that to improvising because you have to hear it as well as understand it to play it freely. And after all that is the whole reason for improvising. to be free. Learning to read music is not as hard if you seperate reading rhythm from the pitch on the staff. They are both mathmatical and logical but not that difficult to understand.although can be difficult to play.Understanding theory and hearing the notes befour you play them makes reading alot easier. I have been a professional musician/music teacher for over 25 years. Ken 613-741-9091

  • LF: Blues/Classic Rock Band. Hello I am a 19 year-old guitarist looking for a band which is blues oriented. I have been playing for about 5 years now, and have yet to find a blues band. My main goal is to gain more experience and learn what it is like to play in a band. I can play lead or accompanying guitar, and I learn new songs fairly quickly. My influences are Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, and Tony Iommi. I can play various styles of guitar, but I prefer lead/solo guitar. I have two electrics at my disposal, a Les Paul and a Strat. I also have two acoustics, a blue 6 string Art & Luthrie, and an Ibanez 12 string. My style of playing could be compared to Buddy Guy or SRV, except that I keep my technique simple. I never replicate a solo of another artist. I keep the main riffs, but everything else is original. One other thing I should say about myself is that I do not sing. If anyone is interested please give me a call on my cell after 4pm @ 613-794-8661. Or you can reach me by e-mail at
